Clayton County, established in 1858, comprises 143 square miles with a population of 259,424 (2010 census). 

A suburban community just minutes south of downtown Atlanta, Clayton is the third smallest county in the state (out of 159). The county has a relaxed small-town feel, but with all the amenities of a major metropolitan area. Clayton County offers attractive lifestyle, business opportunities, a fine public educational system plus a 4-year college, and numerous excellent healthcare facilities.
